Welcome to my blog!!! It's been a number of years since I started this blog. Not only do I have hopes of teaching the masses, I too, have learned a lot! There's always new & updated information in the herbal & essential oil worlds. I have lots to say on many subjects including herbs, essential oils, nutrition, supplements, different modalities of healing and just a little bit of everything!! Maybe in reading my blogs, just one person will come away with a bit of knowledge that they might be able to help themselves or another human being, I would consider that to be a great blessing.....

Over the years I have had businesses. It seems I can't get away from seeing if a certain herb or e.o. can help a fellow human and that's usually how it starts. So again as I am in AZ, part time anyway, I was asked again if I would be interested in starting another herbal biz!! So we now have Herbs 4 Health!! Numerous herbal blends....single essential oils...essential oil blends....supplements....tinctures all to help the body to heal itself.

The information in these blogs is not meant in any way shape or form to plagiarize, for I have never said this is all MY work. It is a compilation of reputable informative websites, my 'go to' books I have always depended upon & my own knowledge. I gather & put together information to help people learn & this way they can come back here to help remind themselves of said information instead of 'where oh where did I find that on the world wide web'. Seems to me it's just better & easier.

Chamomile - The Essential Oil - Healing & Powerful

Chamomile is so gentle & has such an aromatic quality about it, it is one of the most ancient & versatile herbs known to man.

There are 2 fabulous essential oils that come from these flowers. One type is Roman & the other is German! The Roman type is good, but it doesn't have all the healing qualities the German does and it does not contain that beautiful blue color the German type does.

The German type has a beautiful blue color to it and it's called chamazulene. It's a volatile oil that was discovered when it was first distilled and that ingredient gives the oil it's healing power.

This fantastic oil helps to fight stress, anxiety, depression, relieves pain, helps with ADD & can help to improve digestion. It's a nervine, analgesic, a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic & anti-bacterial. It helps with neuralgia, rheumatism, sprains, strains, nausea, menopause symptoms, headaches, insomnia, migraines & all sorts of skin issues including exzema, allergies, boils and all sorts of gastro-intestinal issues as well, just like it's herbal partner!!

Even though it is gentle, still dilute before applying topically. Use caution if you are allergic to ragweed.

A very important ingredient in our Nerve/Pain Oil & on special request the Migraine Relief Oil!

The Power of Cinnamon Essential Oil.....

Cinnamon essential oil is much more potent than the spice & contains special components not found in the spice. There are two types of cinnamon essential oil: cinnamon bark & cinnamon leaf.

Cinnamon bark oil is like taking an intense whiff of ground cinnamon. It comes from the bark, is more brown in color & is more expensive than the cinnamon leaf oil. The leaf oil has a musky & spicy smell and is more of a yellow & murky in color. They both are potent, the bark oil may be a bit more potent though.

It is highly concentrated with anti-oxidants which makes it an effective natural digestive aid, blood sugar stabilizer, circulation booster, can aid in cardio vascular disease & help to fight infections. But the oil itself especially has strong anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral & anti-platelet properties.

Cinnamon oil decreases inflammation, increases circulation, fights viruses, athlete's foot & free radicals. It helps to relieve depression, stimulate the immune system & fights parasites like ringworm.

It's an analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-cancer, anti-fungal, antioxidant, anti-spasmodic, anti-viral, highly aromatic, astringent & insect repellant!

Do NOT ingest or apply topically without dilution first!

Clove Bud Essential Oil

The Chinese have used clove for more than 2,000 yrs! These small buds originate as the unopened pink flower buds of the evergreen tree. Once they are dried they turn brown, then we recognize them as the spice that is so popular & then converted into an essential oil that is highly beneficial to the body.

The eugenol in cloves is a powerful anti-inflammatory & has been shown to reverse inflammation & cellular oxidation. It's very popular as an antiseptic for oral infections and gum disease. It is also a broad-spectrum anti-microbial that helps to keep countless health issues at bay. It has been shown to be beneficial in fighting E. coli & pneumonia! Clove can also be a great help in eliminating candida & killing intestinal parasites.

They have found that clove oil has the same numbing effects as benzocaine, so it's beneficial for toothaches & dental issues.

Ground cloves has an astounding ORAC value of 290,283 units -- which means -- per gram, cloves contain 30X more antioxidant power than blueberries!! And we all know how awesome those little guys are for our health, right??? An antioxidant is a molecule that reverses damage that free radicals cause, including cell death & cancer.

The Health Benefits of Ginger Root!!

Ginger is one of the most widely used spices throughout the world today. This super food is 13th on the antioxidant list boasting an impressive ORAC score of 28,811! Its in the same family as is turmeric & cardamom! The Chinese and Indians have used ginger tonics to treat ailments for over 4,700 years and it was a priceless commodity during the roman Empire trade around the coming of Christ because of its medicinal properties.

There are 115 different chemical components in ginger -- but the therapeutic benefits only come from one source....the gingerols! Now gingerols are an oily resin in the root that act as a highly potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. These bioactive ingredients, especially gingerol have been thoroughly evaluated clinically and the research backs up why you should be using ginger on a regular basis!!

It contains several volatile oils that give it it's characteristic flavor and odor: zingerone & shogaols. Along with the gingerols, these oils are highly potent antifungal, anti-parasitic & anti-bacterial agents. In addition, in inhibits cancer cell formation while firing up our body's own inborn ability to destroy the cancer cells that are already present. Ginger is classified as a carminative (reducing intestinal gas) and an intestinal spasmolytic (soothes intestinal tract). Additionally, it helps aid in the production of bile, making it particularly helpful in digesting fats. It helps against stroke, heart disease, indigestion, nausea, cholesterol, dyspepsia, bloat, constipation, circulation and many other gastro-intestinal disorders. Ginger is also largely responsible for a strong immune system. It can help breakdown the accumulation of toxins in the organs, cleanse the lymphatic system and is a blood thinner as well. Stomach ulcers & GERD can be helped with ginger too. It improves diabetes & insulin sensitivity. It can help to fight cancer and the pain & stiffness from arthritis and all it's 'cousins'

This pretty root is also very high in potassium which aids in electrical energy production and detoxification. It is a great source of manganese which protects the lining of the heart blood vessels and urinary tract. Ginger contains silicon which enhances skin, hair, teeth & nails. It helps assimilate calcium and reduces inflammation in the bone tissue aiding the development of strong bones & teeth!!

Ginger is a great supporting player in herbal teas as it combines well with many herbs. It improves the taste & potency as it helps to speed up the delivery system of healthy plant chemicals into the blood stream.

Studies have shown that ginger is more effective cancer treatment than chemo in killing cancer cells while leaving the healthy ones alone. It's anti-inflammatory properties might also help prevent the progression of precancerous cells to cancer.

Any form of this incredible spice/food/herb is great to use...raw, dried, powder or as an essential oil.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil....

Since 1852 this oil has been used widely in Australia & it's uses soon spread throughout the world. They used to use eucalyptus oil converted into a gas to light their homes. Little did they know they had stumbled upon one of the most powerful forms of natural medicine ever!

Eucalyptus is an expectorant and can help cleanse your body of toxins &  harmful micro-organisms. It can be used for a healthy scalp & is often used against lice. It's great for sinusitis issues. It's highly effective for treating respiratory issues such as asthma, bronchitis, COPD, pneumonia & even TB. It dialates the blood vessels so it allows more, oxygen into the lungs, which can lead to healing.

It has anti-microbial & antiseptic properties, so it's effective at treating wounds, cuts, bug bites, stings, etc. It also helps because it's a natural pain reliever.

This wonderfully powerful oil also stimulates the immune system & provides antioxidant protection as well. The key ingredient 'cineolo' - an organic compound that has widespread, astounding medicinal effects. It's even been known to help lower blood pressure & kills leukemia cells!
