Over the years I have had several businesses. It seems I can't get away from seeing if a certain herb or essential oil can help a fellow human and that's usually how it starts. 76 Ways Sugar Can Ruin Your Health!

 

  In addition to throwing off the body's homeostasis, excess sugar may result in a number of other significant consequences. The following is a listing of some of sugar's metabolic consequences from a variety of medical journals and other scientific publications.
  • 1) Sugar can suppress your immune system and impair your defenses against infectious disease.
  • 2)  Sugar upsets the mineral relationships in your body: causes chromium and copper deficiencies and interferes with absorption of calcium and magnesium.
  • 3) Sugar can cause can cause a rapid rise of adrenaline, hyperactivity, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and crankiness in children.

Sugar comes in many forms & is added to just about everything out there in food land now. Most carbohydrates & starches turn into sugar/glucose in your bloodstream after you eat them. Depending on your situation, even fruit can be bad for you because of the sugar content....though many will disagree. Do your research, read your labels!!   1. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here. I know sugar is bad and I have been advised to use artificial sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners are BAD for you too! I almost feel like sugar is the lesser of the 2 evils. I can't drink my coffee and tea unsweetened. I don't like the taste of stevia. Honey tastes funny in coffee and tea, to me anyway. I just recently heard about monk fruit sweetener. I need to see if the health food store here carries it. It supposedly has zero calories, is low on the glycemic scale, and is 300 times sweeter than sugar. Have you heard of it?

  2. I understand your dilemma. I use raw, organic sugar, but only in my coffee most times in the morning. I don't much like stevia either. I have heard if monk fruit, but alas I don't know much about it, I am sorry. If you find out any info, I would appreciate you passing it along.
